WAMS 2026

REM Surface Engineering is headed to WAM Symposium 2026 in Noordwijk this June for the 2026 Workshop on Advanced Manufacturing for Space (WAMS). This bi-annual event focuses on the transformative role of advanced manufacturing in propulsion, structures, and thermal management for space applications.

Representing REM, Dr. Agustin Diaz will present technical research on the surface refinement of Haynes® 282 superalloy components produced via Additive Manufacturing (AM). His session will explore the efficacy of chemical and chemical-mechanical polishing in optimizing parts produced through both Powder Bed Fusion and Directed Energy Deposition.

We look forward to a week of innovation and discovery as we discuss how surface engineering can further reduce costs and expand design freedom in the space sector.
